Yungaburra was first settled around 1880, with the town being founded in early 1900. Yungaburra has an old world charm, like stepping back in time 100 years. There is plenty to do in town with a wide variety of coffee spots and eating establishments to frequent. Looking for that something different, Yungaburra has a number of local craft and clothing outlets for you to explore.

The Tablelands are abundant with a wide variety of waterfalls and swimming options.

If you’re up for something a bit more than the local pool, Yungaburra can provide some of Australia’s most memorable waterfall swimming locations. Millaa Millaa Falls is an ideal spot for a swim and a shower. With a large open swimming area, toilets and change rooms, it’s a great place to spend the day.

 
  • Swimming the waterfalls is a great way to see the sites and cool off at the same time.
  • Nick’s Restaurant is one of many places to eat in town, Yungaburra Hotel is another. Keddie’s does fine fish and chips.
  • The Whistle Stop Cafe is a great place to meet and enjoy coffee and cake, or maybe lunch.
